How to contribute

The point of this project is that the game belongs to the people who play it. Write rules, settings, adversaries, adventures, art — and keep what you make.

Why it's built this way

Three ideas sit behind the game: anyone can take it, a first-timer and a veteran can share a table, and five dice are the whole universe. One page, with further reading for each.

How editing actually works

There are two ways in, depending on how comfortable you are with the tools.

  • The easy door

Every page has an edit pencil in the top right. Click it, make your change, and it's sent to us as a pull request. No install, no command line.

  • The savvy door

The whole site is plain markdown files in a git repository. Clone it, fork it, mirror it, edit it in Obsidian, send a pull request. Nothing here is locked up.

What happens to your change

Every change, through either door, arrives as a pull request. We read each one and decide whether it fits the game. If it doesn't, nothing stops you: the licence lets you publish your own version, changed however you like.

Whatever you send is shared under the same terms as the rest of the game, CC BY 4.0. You keep the credit for what you wrote.
